Portrait of a Snow Leopard

It was like shooting a portrait of a couple for a magazine. That’s how they posed and that’s how much time I had. 😀 But no complaints here, since this was completely unexpected. On assignment for National Geographic Junior I got to see in my opinion the most beautiful wild cat in the world – the snow leopard. Sure, it’s in a zoo, because in the wild, it’s nearly impossible to spot it. But it’s an animal you can’t see in Ljubljana zoo, so that was a bit of a treat for me. 😀 And they were really up for it. 😀

  1. Thanks! Nič nisem imel obešenega. Ma, ta mrhovina, ki mi iz vratu raste je očitno dovolj, hahaha 😀 😀 😀 Mogoče sem bil pa videti kot napol požrt kozorog 😀 😀 😀

  2. Hi
these are beautiful photos of yours. Can i pop one onto my snow leopard blog? (the unusual one where the cat is standing up and leaning on the tree?) with a credit to you of course 🙂

If so please tell me a bit about where they were taken.

I’m always looking to share knowledge about this endangered and fantastic animal with others and one way is with photos of these animals in Zoos.

  3. Hi, Sibylle!
Yes, you can use it, just credit me. 🙂
It was taken in Natura Viva Zoo near Garda Lake in Italy.
